横滨国立大学奖学金如何申请

　　横滨国立大学建于1949年，是日本一所著名的大学。横滨国立大学有四类学生可以享受日本政府奖学金，他们分别是研究型学生、师范类学生、本科生和日语学习学生。这四类学生申请日本政府奖学金的办法不尽相同。每类学生具体都如何申请呢?下面和出国留学网来看看吧!

　　There are seven types of Japanese Government (Monbukagakusho: MEXT) Scholarships available for international students: those for “Research Students”, “Teacher Training Students”, “Japanese Studies Students”, “Undergraduate Students”, “College of Technology Students”, “Special Training Students” and “Young Leaders Program students”. These students are selected in one of the following three ways: “Embassy Recommendation”, “University Recommendation” and “Domestic Selection”.

　　日本政府奖学金有七种可供国际学生申请，即研究型学生奖学金、师范类学生奖学金、日语学习学生奖学金、本科生奖学金、技术学院学生奖学金、专门培训学生奖学金、青年领导项目学生奖学金。这些学生按以下一种方式进行筛选：使馆推荐、大学推荐和国内筛选。

　　Application for the following fiscal year (April, October) is open between March and May, and the primary screening (documentary examination, written test and interview) is conducted between June and August by the local Japanese embassies. Those who passed the primary screening would be able to apply for issuing the “Letter of Provisional Acceptance” from the universities they wish to study at. The universities judge whether the candidates are worth accepting or not, from their application documents. The candidates who successfully obtained the letter of acceptance are commended to MEXT by the local Japanese embassy through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in September. MEXT then conducts a secondary screening and selects those applicants who have found recipient universities as scholarship grantees.

　　以下财政年度申请(四月、十月)在三月到五月间开放，初次筛选(文件审查、写作考试和面试)时间为六月到八月，由当地日本使馆实施。通过初次筛选的申请人可以向他们想要学习的大学申请签发预录取通知书。大学根据申请人的文件，判断申请人时候值得录取。成功拿到预录取通知书的候选人将被当地日本使馆通过外交部推荐到文部科学省，推荐时间为九月。文部科学省随后实施第二轮筛选，选出已经找到接受奖学金的大学的申请人。

　　How to Apply for the “Letter of Provisional Acceptance” (For those who passed the primary screening)

　　Finding Academic Advisor

　　Please look for suitable academic advisor(s) from the List of Professors Available. Although not obligatory, we recommend that you contact him/her and seek his/her consent in advance.

　　Apply for “Letter of Provisional Acceptance”

　　Please send the following documents to the International Admmissions Office by email or by post (registered express mail) by the deadline. Please state who you wish your academic advisor to be at the time of sending those documents.

　　Necessary documents are:

　　A copy of the certificate issued by Japanese Embassy or Consulate General in your country

　　Copies of documents with the seal of Japanese Embassy or Consulate General:

　　Application Form

　　Placement Preference Form for Japanese Government (Monbukagakusho:MEXT) Scholarship (if included)

　　Field of Study and Study Program

　　Academic Transcript

　　Recommendation Form(s)

　　Medical Certificate

　　Graduation Certificate or Degree Certificate (or an attested document certifying that the applicant will graduate from the school, where applicable)

　　Abstracts of thesis

　　Notification of the Result

　　After examining your application and making the judgment, the International Admissions Office will inform you the result by email. It normally takes around two weeks if you have obtained academic advisor’s consent in advance, and around two weeks to one month if you have not obtained any consent prior to the application. Therefore, make sure to apply for the letter in plenty of time, considering the deadline set by the local Japanese embassies.

　　申请办法

　　1.找到学术指导

　　从教授名单中找到适合的学术指导。虽然不强制，但是学校建议申请人提前联系好学术指导，并征得指导的同意。

　　2.申请预录取通知书

　　在截止日期之前将以下文件发送或邮寄到国际招收办公室。请在发送或邮寄文件的时候说明你希望那位老师做你的学术指导。

　　所需文件如下：

　　日本驻华使馆或领事馆签发的证书的复印件

　　含有日本驻华使馆或大使馆盖章的文件复印件：

　　申请表、日本政府奖学金偏好表(如果包括的话)、学习领域和学习项目、学术成绩单、推荐表、医疗证明、毕业证或学位证、论文摘要。

　　3.公布结果

　　审核申请并作出决定之前，国际招生办公室会通过邮件通知你。如果申请之前已经征得学术指导的同意，大约需要两周时间收到通知;如果申请之前未征得学术指导同意，大约需要两周到一个月的时间才收到通知。因此，确保在当地日本使馆规定的截止日期之前尽早申请预录取通知书。

　　Research Student (University Recommendation)

　　研究型学生(大学推荐)

　　University Recommendation is a type of selection that students are recommended to MEXT by the Japanese university which will accept you as a research student. It is divided into 4 categories, “General”, “Special Program”, “SATREPS” and “e-Asia”. Yokohama National University recommends students under the two categories: “General” and “Special Program”.

　　大学推荐是即将录取你的大学向文部科学省推荐你的一种筛选形式。它分为四个类别：普通、特殊项目、SATREPS和e-Asia。横滨国立大学推荐两种类别的学生：普通学生和特殊项目学生。

　　If you wish to be recommended under the “Special Program” category, please visit the website of the Graduate School of International Social Sciences and the Graduate School of Urban Innovation for further information.

　　If you wish to be recommended under the “General” category, please first look for a suitable academic advisor from theList of Professors for International Students . Necessary documents must be submitted to the International Admissions Officefrom January 10th (Tue.) to 17th (Tue.), 2017 through the academic advisor. (Application documents directly submitted by the applicant will not be accepted.) Selected candidates are recommended to MEXT from the university in mid February. MEXT then conducts a screening and selects those applicants as scholarship grantees at the end of May.

　　对于有意以特殊项目学生身份推荐的学生，请访问国际社会科学研究生院和城市创新研究生院了解详情。

　　对于有意以普通学生身份推荐的学生，请在国际学生教授名单中找到适合的学术指导。所需文件必须在2017年1月10日(星期二)至1月17日(星期二)之间通过学术指导提交到国际招生办公室。申请人本人提交的申请文件将不被接受。被选定的候选人在2月中旬被学校推荐给文部科学省。然后由文部科学省实施筛选，在5月末选出奖学金获得者。

　　Please send the following documents to your academic advisor by registered mail no later than the designated deadline.

　　5.Proof that applicants are academically outstanding (such that the applicant ranks the top 5% or 10% in the department) (Original or Certified copy)

　　6.Proof of nationality (such as a copy of passport)

　　7.Official Letter of Recommendation from a high-ranking person (such as Dean or Director must be directed to President of the accepting university. Original)

　　8.Photograph (4.5 x 3.5 cm size, taken within the past six months, upper body, full-faced, no hats. Write your name and nationality on the back and paste it onto the application form. Original or Digital)

　　9.Abstract of thesis (Copy)

　　10.Documents that prove the linguistic or academic ability of the applicant (such as the score of TOEFL, TOEIC, IELTS, Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT)) (Original or Certified Copy)

　　10.能证明申请人具备语言能力或学术能力的文件。比如托福成绩、托业成绩、雅思成绩、日语能力考试成绩;需要为原件或经过证实的复印件

　　Notification of the results

　　The result of university screening will be notified to applicants in mid-February, and of MEXT screening at the end of May. In both cases, the International Admissions Office will inform you of the result via email.
